Worried about boyfriend

My boyfriend had a chest x-ray, he was told he'll get the results friday. When having the x-ray the person doing it apparently called in other doctors to have a look. They then did more x-rays. I'm worried it could be something bad. I did a silly and googled. Of course the worst came up. He's trying not to worry about it but I can see he is.
I've also got to have a camera down my throat monday as my doctor suspects the worst. We're both in the wars at the moment. I'm more worried for him.

The waiting for results is awful. I'm sorry you are both going through this and I hope the news isn't as bad as you fear. Good luck for Friday and Monday.

Are you able to go with him to get his results?

@Ohjoyohblissit really is awful. Thank you. I'm hoping to be there when he gets his results

In my experience it is helpful to have someone else there as you sometimes don't take it all in. Also to write things down - either take a notebook or make notes on your phone. I'm old, so I use a notebook.

As I said, maybe it won't be as bad as you think. When I got bad news, the GP called me to come see him the day he got the results, so the fact that your boyfriend is getting the results Friday suggests it's not something that needs to be acted on immediately. X-ray results are normally very quickly available.

@Ohjoyohblissi prefer using notebooks too. Thats actually reassuring thank you. I think he's getting a phone call, he's not said he has to go there to get his results. Just that he'll get them Friday

Just wondering whether there's any news - and wanting to bump the thread, as I'm surprised no one else has come on to offer encouragement.

Have you had an endoscopy before? I've had two endoscopic ultrasound biopsies, and both times I asked for maximum sedation. The first one, I don't remember anything about the procedure itself, which was great. The second one, I woke up before it was over and got a bit panicky, but it wasn't too bad.

@Ohjoyohblissno news yet, he was meant to get the results friday but he had a call saying they weren't ready and he needed to come in for more tests, which is worrying.
Ive had a camera down my throat twice before. First dont remember at all. Second one I remember everything because they didnt give me enough so was awake for the whole of it. Quite nervous about it have that in the morning
