Was on day 20 (of my first packet) and had a nasty cold (about three days before) so went in to treatment centre on Friday as a precaution to check bloods that came back borderline sepsis. Started on antibiotics straight away.

feeling fatigued but no visible sepsis signs but have awful salty taste in mouth.

wondering if I will get my next packet now or what generally happens. Was hoping to go ok a uk holiday in then days time.

wondering what happens next. Anyone on it already know please?

Sorry you didn’t get any replies, I hope that means this is a rare issue and that you are doing well. Did they take you off it for a while? I have no experience yet, but a vested interest as I’m eligible to go on ribo…

I'm on Kisquli, have been for a year now. If ever I get an infection and need antibiotics they always stop the kisquali for a week and then continue once the course of antibiotics has finished. It's been fine.

@ofcolitashas that happened more than once in your first year on it? Great to hear it’s going well for you.

Thank you
I go back into the treatment Centre today supposedly to collect my tablets but my blood test on Monday showed only a slight improvement in the blood.

And also, I don’t really feel much better on the whole. I was told I’ll probably get to take a week or so off hopefully I’ll find out later today.

I hope this is not going to be a regular thing because it’s awful not been able to live life easily. I’ve got the cold from my young granddaughter and it’s likely now I won’t be able to go to her first birthday party as everyone at the nursery seems to be going down with things.

You take 21 days of tablets and then you have seven days off. So I was pretty much off the tablets as it was. I just didn’t get to take day 21.

Wondering what they will tell me later today

I’m having a break until next week and my neutrophils recover.

I was a bit surprised because they did actually think it was quite alright for me to head straight into taking the new packet but I had in-depth discussion regarding a variety of things but mainly based around why on earth would I take something that can make me unwell when I am unwell. I live alone so sepsis was quite scary.

A break does seem wise! Hope you feel better soon. It all sucks x
