Scared it's Melanoma 😭

Hi,
I went to see a dermatologist about this line on my thumbnail and he said it looks like a mole under the light he could see that it's slightly wider than in this picture but it's not to the visual eye, he wants me to have a biopsy now I'm scared it's Melanoma 😭 feel sick can't eat or sleep.
Has anyone else had this on their thumbnail or a nail and had a biopsy and it was okay?

No experience of this, but try not to panic. These things tend to more often than not be nothing.

It probably isn't melanoma. And IF it is, many melanoma can be removed with no further issues/treatment. I've had 2 malignant melanoma, though not under my nail with no spread. I hope everything moves quickly for you as the worry is horrid

No, it was dodgy moles for me. The good news is that you should be seen quickly as once you are in the process they don't hang about. But they do call it the cancer pathway which really doesn't help anxiety. Hope everything will be OK for you ❤️
