My DF is 69. Previously very fit and health until October ish last year when he started occasionally having issues with burping and feeling full. At the end of Jan he had a couple of evenings where he was being sick. He went to the GP, 9 days later he’d had scans, a dignosis of pancreatic cancer and a plan.
he had a whipple op 11 weeks ago. He’s just started chemo - 12 rounds of Folfirinox. After the surgery we were told it was aggressive, margins not as clear as they wanted and in 8 out of 20 nodes.
He had a scan last Wednesday and it has spread to his lungs and stomach and he is now palliative. He is continuing the chemo, but the consultant has given him an estimate of a year.

I’m so broken, I don’t want my daddy to die. We’re all so so close. I have to tell my 15 year old DD who adores him.

I am so sorry that you're having to deal with this. No matter how old we are, our Dad is always our hero. Sending you love and strength.

I am so sorry. This is really painful for you. Your Father will know how much this will hurt you, so the best gift to give him is to make his last few months, as happy as possible. You will be there for him and by his side until the end. And you will get through this, because that is what your Father wants. I did the same with my Mum. Sending lots and lots of love x

Thank you. It seems so fast and so cruel. How have we come to this when he was full of life and health a few months ago!?
