What bra size after a bilateral mammoplasty?

I'm currently a 32HH. I'm having a bilateral therapeutic mammoplasty and will go down several cup sizes. I need to buy post-op bras as I've been told I'll need to wear a bra 24/7 for 4 weeks. But how do I know what size to buy?
The surgeon did ask what cup size I'd like to be in an ideal world but it depends on how much needs to be removed from the cancerous side and they'll match up the other side.

I was given a post surgical bra in hospital. I bought M&S flexifit a few days later. I was 38H and bought 38DD and 38D. The bigger one was best. I had asked the breast nurse for advice based on the size they put me in in hospital. That was 40DD. Hope it goes well. I was really pleased with the cosmetic result from mine.

I had the same procedure 3 weeks ago @MochaMadness.
I was a 32H and have gone down to a 34E. I was given a badly fitting compression bra after surgery but it was really too small.
I bought 2 of these in a size large in advance and they fit fine. Since I had my dressings removed last week I’m now wearing both bras together as I feel I need more support so I bought 2 more.
