I’m posting in here as I imagine it’s the best topic but I’m not on it because I have cancer. I have to be on it for life and I’m really really struggling with the side effects after 11 years on it
I get a fever, headache, shivering, nausea, bone pain, drenched in sweat for 24-72hrs with it and I’ve started retching beforehand now as it’s so bad
has anyone found anything that helps? I’ve tried CBD, paracetamol, cool forehead strips and antihistamines so far

Thank you, I’ll have a look. I had a tantrum and came off them for a few weeks but my neutrophils have dropped to 0.3

Sorry to hear this - sounds really rough. I have only had one round of injections so far, but I also found them to have lots of extra side effects. Warm baths/showers helped the bone pain. Other than that I am not sure!

They’re grim! I think the shivering/sweating is the worst for me or the headache as it feels like it never ends

I told haematology I had done 11 years of weekly ones and I was DONE!

I don’t blame you for wanting to stop. I hope they can come up with an alternative for you. I read that there might be an alternative that has to be administered by a district nurse?

My situation is a little different as I am having them as part of chemotherapy for 5/21 days, but the bone pain was like nothing I have ever experienced, and I can still feel it 10 days later. I haven’t had the shivering/sweating yet
