Port removal

I had my port removed a few weeks ago and the dressing came off no problem and it’s a clean healed site. I have a ball of scar tissue under the site which is lumpy. Last night I woke up with my sharp pain in my neck and it felt like a sting or a rip.
it was up near the site where the port exited in the vein. It went hot and sore and then faded away. Anyone else had this

I’m sorry I have no advice other than to keep an eye on it and if you get pain again maybe mention it to your doctor.

I currently have a port and it’s been a bit of a hassle from day 1 tbh. I had to choose between a port or a Picc line and I thought a port sounded less hassle in terms of showering, etc.

But it regularly gives me a sharp stabbing pain and it sometimes bleeds back and other times it doesn’t. I can’t wait to get the bloody thing removed and out of me! 5 weeks and counting!
