It looks like a skin tag. But the only person who can tell for sure is a doctor using a dermoscope. Try not to stress. BCCs grow over years / decades. And are not deadly.

I've had a BCC, had it for years before it was removed. Your photo is a little blurry, but it doesn't look anything like mine did. Is it raised? Does it bleed? Is it itchy?

If it is a BCC please don't worry, it's a very simple thing to remove and they don't spread to other parts of your body. Lots of people have had many of them - I think I remember reading that Hugh Jackman has had about six removed.

Looks very normal to my ( non clinical) eye. Do you have any skin cancer centres near you? We have them in Australia and I've been in for a concerning mole, literally took the Dr 30 seconds to check and say it was fine.

my GP noticed something on my back near my neck, he took photographs with a measuring scale and I kept sending in pics my DH took. I also get psoriasis so always assumed it was that. He told me then to not be worried as they’re vertical and easily treated. It wasn’t BCC in the end it was to do with my psoriasis
good luck

I was convinced last year that I had a BCC. Turns out it was an age wart. 😁 but also 😭
Yours could be anything or nothing. Get it looked at, but try not to worry too much in the meantime.

Same! They were v quick with referral to dermatologist - all within a month from GP appt to result. It was on my nose.

It doesn’t look particularly worrying to me, but it’s good you’re getting it checked. I have melanoma, but bcc are very slow growing and pretty harmless unless they become very advanced, so I would try not to worry. They are seeing you quickly and it should be easy to have a look at.
