I just wondered if there are any medically trained people on here that might have a look at my skin. There have been a few new marks come up on my skin in the last 6 months. They haven’t really changed since then and there’s no soreness or bleeding but I keep looking at them and wondering if they are anything to worry about. My grandmother and mum have both had skin cancer so I’m always quite worried about this.

I’ve had a lot of medical appointments over the last year with my mental health and have put off going to see a GP as I was finally doing okay and sick of seeing them. I know it’s silly but I find it quite triggering to see the doctor.

if anyone can put my mind at ease, or otherwise advise me if this looks dodgy, I’d be really appreciative.

I am not a clinician, but I do have melanoma. To me, that looks more like scars from spots or some non-cancerous sun damage.

BUT always get it checked. There’s no harm in doing it. And if it changes over a couple months, get it checked again.

I was told mine was ‘sun spots’ initially and had to get a second opinion. Mine didn’t look anything like that, but if it is nefarious, best thing you can do is catch it early.

I'm always at the GPs with one thing or another, but they always take this sort of thing seriously. They send a high-resolution photo to the dermatology dept and if they can see its nothing, we don't even have to be seen.

@Itisallastruggledid you get this checked and what was the outcome? @mindutopiado you have a photo of yours too? I’m currently waiting 2 weeks for referral.
