Stage 3c ovarian cancer

my mum 68 was diagnosed about 6 months ago with stage 3c ovarian cancer. It was explained to me that it’s not your average ovarian cyst it’s a Carcinosarcoma and is more agressive. She has a full hysterectomy and we were told some had started to grow back after surgery. She went through 6 sessions of chemo and the last scan we were told she had responded well to chemo and that it has shrank slightly but no more had grown. She has now been told that she’s to take the chemo tablets, they won’t shrink it further and it will eventually start to grow again. Basically I’m asking has anyone else has this kind of experience and how did it go.

Sorry, I don't have relevant experience but want to bump this for you. Are you/she able to talk to someone at Macmillan about it? I know there are specific ovarian cancer charities - do they have information or support groups that could be helpful?
