Found a hard marble-like lump

In my breast 3 weeks ago. Have appointment with the breast clinic on Tuesday. I'm trying to reassure myself that it's more than likely to be a fibroadenoma but I'm getting increasingly worried as the appointment gets closer. Could do with anyone else's similar experiences!

Hello
I've had this twice now, felt like a malteser, both times it was a cyst.
One was 8mls(!) and the other 4mls when aspirated.

They were very kind and efficient in the breast clinic
I had a mammogram followed by a consultation with a Doctor, she took my history and examined me, she said it was likely a cyst even before I had the ultrasound.
They checked carefully and then offered me aspiration.
I was in and out in 20 minutes.

Most breast lumps are benign, if its not you will be on the way to treatment quickly.

Good luck!

That's what I'm hoping for!
I know it is the most likely outcome, it's just hard not to worry isn't it.
It's slightly painful as well, nearly like a bruise which again seems to point to it not being malignant (though I know that's not always the case)
Glad to hear it was resolved quickly for you both times. Thanks for replying.

It natural to worry.
You are absolutely doing the right thing in getting checked out.
I hope it goes well for you Flowers

I had this, it was a cyst.

Sending good luck vibes your way, op.
There’s such a very high chance it’s nothing to worry about.

WaveyGodshawk · 21/12/2025 23:31

Definitely reassuring to hear from others who've had similar and then a positive outcome.
I should have posted weeks ago!
Thanks all x

@WaveyGodshawk
How did your appointment go?

WaveyGodshawk · 24/12/2025 09:02

Thank you for thinking of me @Fuckoffeasypeelers
I had an exam and the doctor said it felt like a cyst thankfully. I will get an appointment in the new year for a scan and to have it drained if necessary.
Very relieved!

I’m glad the appointment went well. You may find that the cyst just disappears of its own accord.
