Hair brush - hair loss - cold cap

Hi all, I’ve been doing chemo and a cold cap for approx 5-6 weeks. Hair started going thinner last week then this week huge clumps have started falling out. I know I’m fighting a loosing battle now, it all probably needs to come off sooner rather than later.

my hair is very long and was very thick, in the interim i need a suitable hairbrush. Tangle teeze pulls it all out; the wide tooth combs they recommend don’t even touch the sides, it’s too thick and knotty, and a fine comb would pull it out also.

Any suggestions on what’s worked for you?
TIA

I’m really sorry you’re going through this, I think I was the same as you and it actually starts to pull and be sore against the scalp from what I remember. I ended up getting my DH to just shave my hair off as the cold cap only worked in certain places for me and as hard as it was, it was actually a relief.

I don’t have any brush recommendations I’m afraid, but rather than taking it all off, could you start by getting it cut shorter - shoulder length or just above maybe? At least that way it will be more manageable to keep tangle free.
A lot of ladies I know have done this and also persevered with the cold cap and had varying levels of success. It’s all about personal preference I guess.
Good luck
