Present ideas

I care for a 92yr old lady. Her daughter has just been diagnosed with tongue cancer and will begin radiotherapy and chemotherapy very soon. They live 4 hours apart and we are trying to come up with ideas to keep them connected.

Any ideas of thoughtful and useful presents we can send?

As in communication? Connected wise. How old is the daughter if the mum is 93?

The daughter is 64yrs old. I suppose I’m looking for presents ideas in general but also something they can both do together but from afar. For example I’ve bought them both a bulb each, exact same same so they can compare growth but also see similar to what each other are seeing. But I’d like to get thoughtful and helpful presents to that we can send that will make things slightly better in a meaningful way. It’s very difficult for the Mother because of her age, frailties and distance. There will also be a speech barrier soon after radiotherapy begins which will be difficult. I’m thinking video calls might help.

I’m having chemo at the moment and one of the nicest things has been people posting me their favourite books. I’ve found some nice new authors and it’s given us something to message about other than the cancer charting about the books.
