I’m Being flippant about my Grizzly tits

I had the most efficient visit to the breast clinic this afternoon, two weeks after presenting a lump to my GP. In the space of an hour I’d been seen by consultant, sent for mammogram (which didn’t hurt at all!) , had an ultrasound and two biopsies. They’ll phone
me in a week with results.

I’m on a bit of a comedown now. The dr who did the ultrasound said she thought it was “probably a grizzly bit” but took the biopsies to be sure. I’m not really worried as everything is out of my hands right now. I just wondered if anyone else has had biopsies for a grizzly lump that turned out to be something more or whether grizzly bit is the technical term for a benign lump? Thanks.

I think the proper term might be "thickened tissue" , but when they described it to me it certainly sounded like I was more gristle than prime meat. Anyway, I've had four, all turned out to be nothing.

Grizzly tits!! 😆😂 I don’t think you’re being flippant op. You’re just being pragmatic. I’m very similar. I had a serious medical episode which resulted in emergency surgery, if I’d had not presented myself at hospital and had the emergency surgery I would’ve 100% died within the day.
after the op the consultant said I was very stoic. I don’t think I was, there was just no need to be getting all emotional and woe is me. What happened happened I I just needed to crack on with life.
it doesn’t mean you don’t care or aren’t worried or don’t have emotions, it’s just your way of dealing with it.
the very fact that you’ve referred to it as grizzly tits makes me think we’d get on well 😆😆

Oh I forgot to say, about 15 years ago I had a biopsy on a lump and it was nothing. Probably a bit of grizzly tit! 😂

When I was 17 I had a fatty lump removed from my breast. No mammogram then just a giant needle stuck in without anaesthetic. The dr told me at the initial consultation when I was 17 it was just fatty tissue (a breast mouse). This lump is different. It wasn’t in a place to show up on the mammogram so it was seen on ultrasound. I’m not sure how they can determine it’s grizzle/fibrous tissue from the ultrasound but the biopsies should clarify. Just having to wait. Fairy que sera about it all right now. I can feel the change in shape and size of the lump after the two biopsies tho. Anyone know why they took two? Is that normal?
