Colonoscopy results - alot of polyps

So I had my colonoscopy on the 2ww. They removed 14 benign polyps and 1 precancerous. They found another 10-12 precancerous polyps that will need to be removed so waiting for another appointment for that. I'm now waiting for the pathology results to confirm no cancer and Dr took me off 2ww so isn't concerned I don't think. I was told that precancerous will turn into cancer within 5 years but I don't understand when the five years starts. I should feel happy there was no cancer and they caught the precancerous polyps but I can't help feeling anxious that the results will come back saying different and whilst I wait for the other polyps to be removed I am still having toilet issues.

I'm not a doc, but as I understand it, an experienced gastroenterologist can determine visually what is cancerous, pre-cancerous or benign with a pretty high degree of certainty, although a biopsy is done to make sure.
It will just mean that you will need repeat colonoscopies more often than someone who had no polyps to see if your body makes more of them.
