By gosh it's hard not to let anxiety get the better of me right now. Got referred on 2ww for colonoscopy. Whilst waiting for that appointment to be confirmed, my blood test showed raised CA 125 so now been put on 2ww gynae referral. Didn't even know they were testing for that. Urgh this is so horrible.

Sending you strength and positive vibes.

Remember nothing has actually been diagnosed yet, you are just correctly within the 2ww system at present. Of course it all seems overwhelming and horrible at present but keep strong and with time you will have more information.

I do understand how horrible it all is as I am currently recovering from oral cancer but am on the path of recovery.

I wish you strength and luck going forward.

Sending you a hug and hand to hold. I totally understand your anxiety and am wishing you all the best for this time, it's horrible being in limbo.

GI conditions leading to long term inflammation can cause elevated CA125 and would also lead to a positive FIT test leading to a colonoscopy letter. So everything may well be fine. Hugs.

Thanks all. I keep trying to focus on the fact it's good to rule things out or be able to focus on treatment rather than not getting things looked at. It's just crummy that even two weeks seems too long.

The good thing is that one of those is likely to lead to a CT/MRI, which will be helpful for having a look at the abdomen/pelvic area as a whole, so you should get answers about both hopefully in one go.

Sending you a hug. The anxiety can have powerful impact so use your usual tricks to help keep 'calm'. Speak to your GP as they can prescribe something if anxiety/panic is taking over.

I'm having my ultrasound tomorrow. It's just frustrating they won't tell me the results straight away. Then colonoscopy on Wednesday.

This happened to me during the 6 weeks holidays, didn't half put a dampner on our time off! 2WW for positive FIT test and 6000+ calprotectin levels so needed a colonoscopy. Then I found a lump in my breast so 2WW for that too! The stress and anxiety was awful so HH OP.
The colonoscopy came back crohns, so not ideal but not the big C. The scan on my breast showed a fibroadenoma thankfully (benign tumour).
Fingers crossed your tests all come back fine too 🤞 the wait is the worst part x

I’ve been in the same place for both. They did reassure me at ultrasound and also straight after I came round from the colonoscopy. I guess it depends on the hospital. Don’t forget that doctors test for the worse case scenario and then work backwards. Fingers crossed all is okay.

Thanks. Ovaries came back clear hurrah! But as I have a coil, they may want to remove it and rescan to get a better look at my uterus as the coil blocks the view. So just waiting to hear on that and colonoscopy is Wednesday
