How long is it taking to get breast surgery results back

I have invasive breast cancer and had a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph nodes removed 4 weeks ago. The lymph nodes were tested during surgery so I know they are clear which is wonderful. But the results aren’t back from the lumpectomy so I don’t know yet if I need more surgery or chemo before radiotherapy and hormone drugs. Surgeon says he thinks it’s just delays over the summer. Is 4 weeks a long time as if not I need to manage my expectations? Thanks

i had mine last summer and they told me 8 weeks but they came in 6.

I'm assuming you are in the UK? Mine came back in two weeks in Spain. Hope you don't have too long to wait , the waiting is the worst

Mine came back in 4. Surgery was in June.

I am in Scotland. I got the results for both lymph nodes and lumpectomy in 10 days.

They must have have been confident of them being ready because the letter of appointment with the breast care nurse for results was mailed out the day after my op.

i had my results after 2 weeks following lumpectomy . That was 12 years ago in Uk
