A bit of a back story, my brother has had back pain since around March 2025, which doctors said pulled muscle etc and gave pain relief but it’s been bothering him, around 5 weeks ago he started getting left sided pain causing him sleepless nights as when he lays on his left side in bed it’s sharp pain causing him agony.
he’s lost his appetite
hes randomly sick at any point mainly at night.
he’s just been for an X-ray which he was made to wait afterwards because the lady said she seen effusion.
it was then looked over and they wanted to order a CT scan as they said fluid around the lung.
we’ve come away thinking the absolute worst and they’ve got him in the morning for the CT.
has anybody had anything similar or can advise.
as when the xray was ordered by the doctor she told us it’ll pick up cancer or a fracture/break.
