Surrey & Sussex wait times?

I went to the GP Monday with a lump in my armpit, fully expecting to be dismissed, but the GP was concerned and referred me for an urgent ultrasound and bloods. Seems this is the urgent suspected cancer (2 week wait?) pathway. She said id be contacted quickly. I’ve still not heard anything and so does anyone have any idea what wait times are like for these? Seems like I should be seen within 2 weeks, but thought they would have contacted me to book in by now?

I’m in Sussex and was seen exactly 2 weeks later of finding a lump by the breast clinic. Do remember that the vast majority of lumps are not cancer. Best of luck x

Hello mammaneedsadrink

I had a mammogram which resulted in a letter to attend the Jarvis centre for further investigation (when I got there I realised this was code for biopsies). A follow up appt was booked the same day for 12 days later to get the results. A consultant appointment was then booked for 2 weeks later, followed by an oncology appointment and within 60 days from my initial mammogram I was sitting in the chemo suite for my first treatment. Things move very quickly. I really hope you receive good news and I wish you all the very best.

Updating in case anyone finds this thread in future. Still not had an appt through on NHS, 10 days after referral but I called the dept direct on Tuesday and they confirmed they had the referral. Said it’s more likely to be nearer 4 weeks. I decided to go private and was seen today - thankfully it’s just a harmless cyst.
