Dtr has colon cancer

Hi,

my adult dtr has been told she has stage 3 colon cancer with lesions on liver & lungs. I have to tell her siblings tonight ! They lost a sibling suddenly 11 years ago, which devastated our lives.

Sometimes we are thrown numerous curves balls , my sister passed away in May from side effects of cancer treatment after a 5 year battle and numerous set backs and complications. My other sister had cancer cells in breast last year , hopefully treated succesfully.
my mum has cancer of the cervix , dementia.

Don’t really know why l am writing this here - thinking it is a release from going around my head

I am so sorry you are facing this. I don’t think there is an easy way to tell her siblings, but hopefully you find the strength to support each other during this time. I imagine you are accessing as much external support as you can via medical professionals and charities. I also hope with the cancer diagnoses in the family you are offered screening too.
