Previous breast cancer but tenderness in my thigh bone

I had breast cancer in 2021. No lymph nodes affected. Lumpectomy, chemo, radiotherapy, 18 Herceptin injections and have been taking exemestane for 3 years.

I also take other drugs for asthma which affect my joints, ankles, elbows in particular but still active. I'm 56. Bone density scan in December came back ok but risk of osteoporosis so to monitor.

Recently I noticed my left thigh bone is very tender, it's the side I sleep on. I can't decided whether it's the joint or not. When I press it it feels bruised inside. No other pain, no lump that I can feel. No weight loss. I feel totally fine.

I need to see my GP don't I? And am dreading all that that entails.

Anybody have any experience of secondaries involving bones?

Thanks

At my hospital you go back via hospital for first five years (breast cancer nurses or oncology). When I had pain in my ribs and chest wall the oncologist sent me for a full bone scan which came back clear of cancer.

Its hard to tell as post menopause aches and pains are common but think its best to let hospital / GP know and see if they want to scan. Hope its clear, if not I have heard of people having secondaries in the bone and having it go completely with a drug, think it was Ibrance.

Thanks for your reply.
Amazing service this morning. Saw my GP at 10am and had had an x ray by 10.30 at my local walk in centre. Results in 2-4 weeks.
Just hope it’s nothing. I’ve just retired from teaching and have lots of plans already in motion!
