Hello I’m after any reassurance or advice please -
my father was diagnosed with lung cancer 2024 and had a resection. He’s been in remission since - scans have been looking promising - he had what was a mechanical fall a few weeks ago but gradually walking has been getting worse and only as of yesterday lost all motion in his left arm. We went to A&E today to find that the hip was normal for XR & CT but his left arm XR is showing what looks like a lytic lesion now they’re unsure what this is so we have to go back to oncology again.

my question has anyone had this and been ok? Or is this some sort of mets?

what treatment will get offered if any? I can’t shake the heartbreak right now.

I’m really sorry that you are going through this. I have metastatic breast cancer with lytic lesions in my sternum, I am on a palliative care plan.
I know this answer may not give you any comfort, hopefully you will get clarification to any other questions you have when you return to the hospital.
Macmillan have been good so far with emotional support for both myself and my family, and I recommend Cancer Research’s website too.
