Face to face always bad news?

I had a biopsy on a suspected melanoma just over 3 weeks ago. I rang last week to ask if results are back I was told they are but have been sent to another hospital for a second opinion. I rang again this morning to ask if they were back they weren’t. Late this afternoon I have received a text appointment for a face to face appointment at the skin clinic tomorrow. The nurse when I had my biopsy originally said I would receive a letter if all was fine. It’s not looking great is it?
has anyone ever been called in so quickly but everything has been fine?

Ummmm probably not so much bad news but also not a simple “everything’s fine” either- like it might need further testing or a small procedure etc. So whilst not panicking, I’d also be prepared to have some information and take someone with you if you want. All the best.

As @fourelementary says it could be further testing.

Sorry, just realised this was 2 days ago, so you’ve been for your app already. Hope all was ok

Thanks for checking in. It was kind of mid news. It was melanoma but luckily caught early. So just need a WLE and regular skin checks

I had the same news a few weeks ago - stage 1A - are you the same? I’m still awaiting a date for the WLE.

Yeah 1A also. I’m waiting too but they thought it would be in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully we’re not waiting too long. I feel like all the waiting has been the worst part. Have you also been recommended to start taking vitamin D?

That’s good only 1A too - such a relief. And yes the waiting was the absolute worst. I’m fairly happy with waiting a bit more for the WLE as I’m going on hols soon but then I hope it’s soon as will be nice to have it over with. Yes I was advised to start taking Vit D and also offered a blood test to check current levels.
