Hey

is anyone about to give a rough indication of time between lung cancer diagnose and surgery? Just wondered the average time people have had to wait?
(Asking in behalf of my father)

any advice will be so appreciated!

thanks soooo much! xx

They move quickly so it will be asap - within a month, hopefully.

All the best to your dad.

All depends on when they can get him a surgery slot and any complicating factors that might speed or slow things up.

I don’t have lung cancer specifically, but time between initial diagnosis and booking in surgery was about 2 ish weeks. I needed a CT and MRI and another biopsy in that time so they could get the staging and make a plan. Then from that point, surgery date was maybe 3-4 weeks.

my brother started with symptoms around 7-8 weeks ago.
had an x-ray & ct 2 weeks ago, gets results tomorrow.
i can report back with the outcome if you would like

can i please ask the symptoms your dad has had? @Sammy834 goodluck to your dad❤️

@Kirstymariexhi Kirsty! I’m sorry to hear that, what was the outcome in the end? ❤️

my dads cancer was picked up by a routine scan so there were no obvious symptoms other than fatigue. Xx
