Hi all, more than a month ago I went for surgery for a breast lump removal. Although the diagnosis from biopsy (before the surgery) was fibroadenoma, it was growing and due to my age (43), doctors decided to remove the lump. After a week I got inconclusive results as the cells had some atypia. They sent the lump to another hospital lab for a further study.
This was 4 weeks ago and they have cancelled two appointments so far because they don't have the results from the other lab. Today was the second attempt to give me the results but they rang me to cancel the appointment and give another 2 weeks to see if by then they have the results back.
I'm getting quite anxious. I feel relieved that it must not be something really bad, otherwise they would act faster, but something is not completely right. Someone with the same experience? Waiting for 6 weeks to get the results?
