My dh has CLL , and has been diagnosed with another cancer as well. Does anyone know what happens now? Apparently they can't treat both and are having a meeting about him, so we are waiting to hear.

My understanding is CLL is not curable, it can be put into remission. Some people have CLL and never require treatment to put it into remission. It will depend on their 'levels' and the impact CLL is having on their lifestyle (fatigue, breathing etc).

Is the other cancer one they think can be removed? If so they may logically deal with that 1st. But having CLL could impact on their ability to handle the treatment.

I guess it's a waiting game to see the consultant. I hope you get very soon.

There's a good CLL UK support site on FB and that has some CLL folk who are/have dealt with more than cancer.
