Handhold whilst waiting breast biopsy result and ENT fast track

Handhold needed please 🙏
in the last 3 days I’ve had a breast biopsy due to something showing on 2 mammograms (but not seen on ultrasound) and after a separate GP visit I’m also on the ENT cancer pathway fast track due to a lump he felt in my neck. ENT appointment and biopsy results are all in the next 2weeks. My head is spinning. If it’s cancer, I’ve no idea how to break this to my children . We’ve very recently lost a close family member due to advanced breast cancer and they are still reeling from this.
I’ve had no symptoms, these findings have all been picked up in standard check ups. The breast cancer doctor felt 80% sure that it was nothing sinister on the mammogram but wants to be 100% hence the biopsy. However all I can keep thinking about is this lump - coincidental or a sign of cancer spread to lymph nodes? Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Thanks for reading.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. Happy to give a handhold 💐

From my experience with Breast cancer, they are very good at spotting cancer from a mammogram. So it does sound positive that your Dr thinks it’s likely to be something else. The fact that it didn’t show on an ultrasound I think is also positive. They would most likely of had a check around your Lymph nodes in the ultrasound also. The fact that they have not mentioned lymph nodes is also positive.
lump in the neck could be glandular. Following glandular fever years ago, I quite often get a lump if I’m feeling rundown.

Thank you both for your replies. I had the good news this week that it isn’t breast cancer! So relieved. Next week I should find out what this lump is. I haven’t had glandular fever before but I am definitely run down, so hopefully that is the reason.
