I’m am 26 weeks pregnant since and November I have had bleeding from the bum. I’ve been doctors 4 times and hospital twice no one seems to be helping. I’ve never had this before and the toilet bowl is red most the time. It doesn’t leak out or in my pants etc only when I’m on the toilet or having to poo. My poo is sometimes a weird colour too sorry TMI. I just want some answers or advice as I’m not getting anywhere. I’ve put photos it’s almost like a period from the bum! Doctors and hospital have checked and just told me it isn’t haemorrhoids and if continues come back which I’ve been doing. They said constipation maybe but it’s been since November surely that can’t be it 😓😓

How did they check, did they examine inside? I had internal piles which bled and bled, but I wouldn't have been aware of them otherwise. The doctor used an instrument to look inside and see them.
It could also be an anal tear. It could be lots of things before cancer.
I think you need to tell the doctor it's upsetting you very much and you need an answer.

Thank you for your reply, they didn’t use instrument but did feel for piles and haemorrhoids with finger. I did suggest lots of time for a camera examination but because I’m pregnant they’re refusing to do this. They just keep leaving me and saying they can’t do much while I’m pregnant and to come back when babies born! But I can’t wait that long my minds going insane especially with this happening since November! X

I know it's worrying but I really think that if they had any reason to think it was serious, they would investigate.
When I was examined the specialist used an instrument to look inside and I don't think he could feel them with his finger.
I hope the bleeding stops soon and you can get some peace of mind.

I’m not looking at the pics but I had lots of bleeding and it was an internal haemorrhoid that had ruptured - had to have a colonoscopy to diagnose and then a haemorrhoidectomy to treat it

I know this happened to someone I know, it was when they are low on iron. Have you had your bloods checked?

You can't feel internal haemorrhoids with a finger. You can look for external ones, which your doctor couldn't see but it doesn't mean they aren't lurking and bleeding inside.

Everybody ends up with haemorrhoids eventually. They are incredibly common. And pregnancy almost guarantees that you will get them.
