I also found a lump about a month ago & went to the GP. She sent me for an urgent referral which I thought would be 2 weeks but when I phoned to enquire I was told 9 weeks (I’m in N.I) so still waiting. I have a routine mammogram tomorrow (I’m 53) so hoping they’ll maybe tell me something then or at least fast track my appointment. Hugs for you & sending positive vibes x

Get it check with your doctor but for what is worth breast cancer ( lumps) don’t hurt, sounds like it may be hormonal

Stay strong. I’m sure it’s hormonal to come and go like that.

FWIW I’ve had breast cancer. Afterwards I was always finding hard areas but they turned out to be nothing.

Notagreatresult · 17/03/2025 23:26

Could it be hormonal following your loss OP? Breast symptoms are common in those circumstances I believe.
I am so very sorry for your loss,

9 weeks? Can you go privately? I was 9 days from phoning GP to be being examined at the hospital breast clinic.

I saw my GP the same day I called and she referred me. I’m in Scotland.

Thanks I hope it is that’s why I waited a week to contact my GP after I couldn’t find it, but it’s just festering on my mind I know it’s better to be safe than sorry just hate going to the breast clinic just remember how worried & anxious I was before not looking forward to feeling like that again waiting on results I know no one does .. I am just not in the best place mentally at the moment that’s probably why im feeling so worried & anxious probably a bit hormonal still too sorry the post is negative I don’t want to be brining anyone down I know thousands of other ladies are going through the same & BC is treatable even if it is the worst case.

Is a very long time I forgot to say earlier try calling up for cancellations apps too I’m down in Kent quite lucky to have fairly fast access to appointments etc here. I’m glad you seem to have good access in Scotland too I hope your appointment goes ok & you get an all clear💐

Hi everyone I wanted to come on here & give an update area was fatty tissue no biopsy of thither tests needed .. I had dreams & was convinced I had cancer also suddenly no longer feeling tired & breast / armpit pain has gone shocking what anxiety & worry can do to our body I really hope this post goes to show you really never know what is wrong until you go & get it checked out . We spend hours on these pages at worrying uncertain times looking for awnsers or clues it’s a way of us trying to get closure & what little control we can during difficult anxious times.

I want to encourage anyone reading this please don’t waste all your time & energy worrying before your appointment I regret what a hold i allowed my own worry & anxiety to have these pages provide comfort so have a look get comfort then put down the phone & go & do something you enjoy & that’s going to make you feel better because we can spend hours self diagnosing & looking for awnsers but we won’t know until we go sending my thoughts to anyone reading this who is in this hellish limbo of waiting be strong & brave you got this & you will get through this whatever your outcome may be don’t let the anxiety of what could be happening ruin & control your day today best wishes everyone 💕

That’s great news.

It is strange how ‘symptoms’ disappear when your mind is put at rest.
