A message to say thank you to everyone who posted helpful comments for me a few days ago which I’m now acting on as regards my cervical cancer. I’ve been looking at books by Louise Hay, I wondered have any other Mumnetters read them and if so which ones are good to start with there are so many !!!

Hello
It's nice to see others have helped you through such a tough time. I haven't heard of those books but I will look into them.
I can't see your original post. Do you mind me asking what your symptoms were? I was told today that I need to have a biopsy on my cervix due to a thickening. I am so worried. I should have an appointment in the next 2 weeks x

okay, first of all, try not to worry, which I know is easier said than done. I had thickening of the cervix, but there are lots of other causes as well as cervical cancer ( which I have) To be honest, my biggest symptom was bleeding. I’m post menopausal so that was the big red flag for me. Absolutely no other symptoms, no pain nothing…. But please try not to worry, and I Do hope you get seen soon.

OK thanks. Do you mind me asking if you knew the thickness?
I'm being sent for an MRI but consultant said he didn't think it would be cancer due to my smear in December 2023 being OK.
