My mum died aged 56 of canc. Her initial cancer was bilateral breast cancer of which she had double macectomy, chemo and radiotherapy, she rang the bell 😊 but soon after had a new cancer cholagiocarcinoma/gallbladder cancer. Her genetics results showed no BRCA.
Fast forward 4 years... my cousin tested positive for BRCA and so they re tested mum, she has tested positive for ATM GENE of which I have a 50/50 chance of having.
It will take a few weeks for my results and I'm in.... a little limbo.
Has anyone been in this positition? There's so little information.... if anyone can point me in the right direction for information I'd really appreciate it.
The CANRISK tool shows if I have it I'm high risk not moderate.
