Can you feel breast calcifications?

Hi - I've just come back from the doctor who has referred me to the breast clinic but reassured me that she doesn't think there's anything to worry about.

Basically, I've had breast pain in my left breast for about 8 weeks. I thought it was connected to my hormones but it hasn't settled down. I'm mid-40s now so everything is changing. She did a breast exam and found two small lumps that she said were most likely micro calcifications but wanted to refer me to make sure everything was ok.

She was very reassuring but I Googled. Every site I've found says that you can't feel micro calcifications so I just wondered if anyone else has been able to feel theirs?

Good luck, I've also been referred, first appointment is Saturday. Mine said she could feel granulation, whatever that means. I think the majority of referrals are negative for cancer so the odds are in our favour. 😔

Good luck to you also, PrincessofWells. That's the word my doctor used as well. They must see so many people with this type of thing. I talked to my sister about it who revealed she'd been through the same process about three years ago and it turned out to be a cyst. Wishing you all the best.
