Worried my friend has lymphoma

I am extremely worried about my friend. She has been unwell for 5 weeks with the following symptoms:

itching
on and off temperatures
raised lymph nodes
night sweats
feeling full after eating
bone pain

Her blood test is abnormal. I’m not sure about all the readings but I know that her lymphocytes are very high. Rather than refer now, the GP wants her to have another blood test (which she’s struggling to book as no availability). She has two babies so I am very upset with the GP dragging their heals & not just referring now. They’re saying that she may have had flu, hence the referral may be turned away. Over all of period she has felt poorly, she’s never had “flu like symptoms” such as a cough, runny nose, sore throat or headache. Instead she’s had all of the above. I feel the GP is letting her down and I don’t know what to do.

You’re not giving the GP a chance. They want to run more bloods so she will need to ring and reception will book them once they’ve seen they’ve been requested.

She’s been to the GP 5 times now though and each time, apart from the last visit it’s been put down to a virus. Unfortunately in our area, it’s not as easy as ringing reception to book in. You have to go to a hospital and they’re all booked up for weeks. She’s a mum to two very young children so I can’t help but feel anxious.

They have to do a specific blood test.
It's probably a flow cytometry.
The gp can't refer your friend yet.
I had a positive result for chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia and that's when I was referred.
Unfortunately, as I know, the many viruses going around atm will be bringing up lots of raised lymphocytes, they won't all be indicative of anything too serious.
