So, today is 4 months without my wonderful dad.

I miss so much and Christmas means nothing to me. Honestly others are feeling better

So sorry for your loss. I wish you some peace tomorrow and don't feel like you have to do 'have' to do anything. Be kind to yourself.

The ‘firsts’ are definitely the hardest. I lost my dad just before Christmas last year and sobbed on Christmas morning, it was so hard.

This year I’ve been taking comfort in seeing all the Christmas robins as i love the idea that when a little robin comes to visit, it’s your loved one you’ve lost coming to say hello. I have one that visits me whenever I’m in the garden.
So sorry for your loss. It doesn’t go away but it does seem to get easier to live alongside the grief. It’s hard to imagine feeing any better when you’re still so raw. Take care and don’t feel as though you have to be a certain way tomorrow, it’s ok to miss him but still enjoy Christmas, even if just a little x

Thinking of you, lost my dad too this year.

My Dad got a terminal diagnosis for leukemia just before Christmas. I'm really struggling with NYE. No I don't want to celebrate the year my Dad dies. Unfortunately I'm hosting the annual party that we have done for years. I just have no idea how I'm going to get through it

So sorry @Bookish123 - it's horrible and I don't think I will ever truly get over it, I just think of my dad often and my DS 'talks' to him as he misses him so much.

I am sorry for anyone else going through the same thing. Thinking of you all
