Biopsy results appointment being with oncoplastic surgeon

Hello

I had a ultrasound guided core biopsy yesterday on a breast lump that the radiographer described as 'indeterminate' (she also found two cysts). I had been offered the scan and a mammogram for reassurance after an examination at the breast clinic where they found an area of nodularisation but said they thought it was nothing to worry about.

The hospital called today to book my results appointment and it is with an oncoplastic surgeon and the letter is from the Cancer Centre. Does this mean it's likely to be cancer or am I reading too much into this?

Thank you

I don't think it's a definite at all.

When I had my biopsy results everyone saw the same oncoplastic surgeon for results. Some people were diagnosed with cancer others weren't.

Good luck, hopefully yours will be OK.
