So a week ago I had my smear and swabs afterwards I bled so much even after taking medication to stop the bleeding. I'm bleeding really heavy and small clots and a few very large clots (size of my palm) which have started to increase, this has been happening almost a year now. I'm always bleeding after sex I bleed. I have my period which lasts a month then I don't bleed for about 2/3 weeks then back to long heavy clotted bleeding again. My lower back, legs, pelvic area aches, stomach pains are stabbing I'm exhausted, I feel run down and convinced iv cervical cancer. When im not bleeding i have had foul smelling blood streak discharge, or it is very watery. Don't even know why I'm writing this I'm just hoping smear results come back soon so I can stop worrying.
37 with 3 children
Last smear was 6 years ago and 7 years ago I had precancerous cells burnt away (had that twice).
Had a baby and just forgot to go for smear and put all symptoms to back of my mind as I have a lot going on. Stupid me!!!!

Have you taken your symptoms to your GP? If not, make an appointment today.

Yes he just told me to get a smear and ordered swabs. He tried to examine me but couldn't see my cervix.
I messaged my dr but they just say ring 1st thing. When you do there's never any appointments left :(
( thanks for reply)

You Definitely need to follow up with the GP once the result is back. My practice has a really good online system: much better than phoning up.

I’d call the GP, which I know can sometimes be easier said than done! Your signs could be as a result of clotting issues etc as well. Not just cervical issues x

You do have concerning symptoms, no more hiding. Bleeding after sex could be hpv or an ectropion - quite possible after having a baby as hormone induced, or it could be your worst fear. You've taken the first step, would be wise to ask your GP for a pelvic USS while you wait for results on smears. Could be ovarian origin too, so good to get them checked out.
