Hi,

I have a 4 month old baby and since the bleeding from birth stopped, I’ve had a watery discharge. I decided to check and my GP did a smear test which came back saying I have HPV and low grade dyskaryosis. So my question is - can this actually turn out to be cervical cancer ?

im petrified as I have such a small baby. My smear tests have always been clear although I’ve take them in another country.

Hi

So from my understanding low grade is something that could develop into cancer cells however also revert back to normal. When I was 21 I had a smear and found abnormal cells that were moderately abnormal, I had them removed and then had a smear test every year for the next 10 years which have been clear. I think the result you got is extremely common
