Does anyone have any experience of this. I'm 71 and went for a check up after pneumonia. I had a C T scan and it showed up on that. I'm waiting for more tests, but it's a complicated operation and they think I'm not strong enough at the moment.
Any advice about treatment etc would be good!

I have one as well. They found it during a routine chest ct scan. I had colon cancer but this is unrelated. I was offered the operation for removal in February but was still recovering from my colon operation so we agreed to three monthly scans. It’s grown 1cm In a year, I think it’s sitting at 4.5cm. They aren’t to concerned about this as it’s so slow growing and been there for years. Plus they haven’t a clue what it is either. But they maybe think a thymoma or lymphoma. It’s sitting on my right anterior Medistinum on thymus. It will be removed keyhole. A biopsy will be to dangerous to do so I was told. I’m 51. Xx

These type of masses are usually very slow growing so the surgeon told me. Good luck x

Thank you!
My mass is 6 cm
In 2016 I had a scan after a gallbladder removal and it showed up. I was fobbed off by the consultant. It was then 3cm.
I'm wondering what will happen next. I'm being assessed by physio next week to see if I'm strong enough for the operation.
I had breast cancer in 2015 and I'm told it's not related to that!

Hi I think if the doctors were really concerned they would have had it out by now, that’s what I was told. So yours has grown 3 cm in 8 years? Like mines it’s very slow growing. But it’s just the thought of it being there that’s the scary part. Are they able to do a biopsy? Fingers crossed your appointment goes well and you can get the operation soon. I’m now on the waiting list for removal, so don’t know when it will be. Good luck 💕xx

@Shityshitybangbang Thank you!
They seem to be organising tests very quickly and the consultant seemed to think it was urgent, so I suppose I'll have to wait for the MRI and then make a decision.

Hi yes I had mediastinal germ cell cancer in 2019. It was successfully treated with chemotherapy and then surgery.
