Just putting this here because I never knew about Maggies Centre until someone recommended it to me in Mumsnet.

Visiting my DH yesterday and the hospital had a Maggies Centre.

I was totally blown away with this place. Wonderful staff and facilities in a beautiful building.
Lots and lots of help offered.

Just thought I would share x

Amazing places.
The one at RVI / near Northern Centre for Cancer Care is wonderful.

My mum had fantastic support from them 25 years ago. Worth their weight in gold.

Yes they are /l though my local one is quite cliquey and it’s obviously people that have been going for years and yes it like a social club. I know they have every right but they are the only ones who can make use of the yoga etc as they now make you sign up for six weeks courses. Who on a cancer pathway can commit to that? No one that would benefit from that. It annoys me so much.

Has anyone used the Haven at West Middlesex Hospital in Isleworth?
