I am 50 and was adopted at birth.
Contacted my birth mother about 15 years ago who advised there was a history of breast cancer in her family.

Since then yearly mammograms with nothing but went for one last week and got called the day after to go back in.She suggested I bring someone.

It's not looking good due to the history is it?

@OKherewegoagain
Very sorry about your recall. I was recalled as well (June). I think it helps to remember that many recalls do not show cancer but a different issue - hopefully this will be the case for you. If it does turn out to be cancerous (mine was/is) - then your yearly mammogram is in your favour as the cancer has been found through screening. In my case it was found early and I have already had the surgery.
Probably what will happen tomorrow is ultrasound, different mammogram and biopsy if necessary.
Wishing you all the best - please update if you can/feel it would help. MN is very supportive and there are many women here who can support and help at what is a very stressful time
