Bump on labia

A couple days ago I felt a bump on my labia i didn’t think much of it, 2-3 days later it became very itchy it’s ok now but the bump is still there has anyone else had this/ how how did you cure it. I’m scared it might be vulvar cancer which I hope it’s not! But it may also be a cyst I’ve never had this happen before so i don’t really know if I should go to the doctors or it will get better on it’s own.

Does it hurt?apply a warm / hot-ish cloth on the area 3-4 times a day ( don’t burn yourself) ,did you look in the mirror see how it looks like? what makes you instantly think it’s cancer?

It could be anything, ingrowing hair, cyst etc. Try the warm wet cloth and warm baths for a few days to see if it bursts

If not get it checked out by a gp, I've just had a lump removed from my labia, started out as an itchy lump/swelling that i left hoping it would disappear on its on and it didn't, ot then became quite aggressive quite quickly in that it grew and started to become quit ulcerated looking and incredibly painful.

I've got another 7 weeks until I find out if it's cancerous but if I'd gone in earlier I would have had less of my labia removed

Chances are it's just a cyst or something else that isn't cancerous but don't put off having it checked out

Def get it checked but it's highly likely it's a random cyst that'll go away on it's own in a few weeks, from experience

Much more likely to be a cyst. But keep an eye on it and if not gone in a couple of weeks go to the GP.

It’s likely to be a bartholins cyst , I had one removed under local anaesthetic two years ago , the itching drove me insane . Go to your gp and get it checked out x

I had this and saw a doctor. She said that it was quite common in women as they get older. She prescribed Daktacort, a cream which needs to be kept in the fridge, but you apply it and it helps to stop the itching.

I then developed an ingrown hair cyst, which went down a bit then became a second itchy bump that won't go away, so they might remove that if it won't go away

Please see a GP, they are very used to dealing with things like this, and it's a moment's embarrassment for a solution to the itching.
