I've been referred for a 2ww appointment after an US found an ovarian cyst that's 14x10x14cm. I've had a large cyst removed before but never been referred via the cancer pathway, so not sure what to expect. Has anyone been through this route and have any experiences or advice? Does everyone on this route have to have surgery to confirm/exclude cancer? What happens if it isn't cancer?
Slightly annoyed to say the least as the first I heard about there being a suspicion of ovarian cancer was on the letter, the doc said nothing other than "we're doing a fast referral" when I had a call to give me my US results.
I have so many questions!
