Cancer safety netting

Have just read on my GP record 'cancer safety netting'. Has anyone any idea what it means?

I would guess it made sense in the context of the consultation eg sending you for a test or telling you to come back if the symptom didn't clear up.

Might mean you have been advised some red flags to trigger another apt. Eg if you get x symptom come back
