Lump in armpit

I am writing this absolutely petrified as I have a lump in my arm pit. I am 38 years old and have health anxiety anyway but I'm petrified that this is cancer. I have a hard lump under my arm almost where the armpit meets the breast. I have checked my breasts and can't feel anything else.

I'm getting myself in a right pickle. I am known to have had HS in the airpit area but usually it's painful and this isn't.

I am just after some advice for over the weekend. I have doctors on Monday

The majority of the time when people find a sudden random lump in their armpit, it is a lymph node. Its where there are and they can often swell into a hard lump when they are working, they can take over a week to go down.

You're getting it checked, which is good, it will likely just be to put your mind at rest. For the weekend the most you can do is try not to think about it- which is hard, but you have done everything you can do, you are just waiting for your appointment to make sure that it is just a lymph node and its okay.

@KPA22 I'm experiencing something similar and wanted advice as losing my sanity - have breast clinic on 13th. My lump is soft and doesn't really have a defined edge. Did you get it checked out and how did it go?

@HasB do you have an update on your lump? I am going through similar atm, hard oval movable lump in the location described. I’m going out of my mind with worry x
