Breast lump

Hi I've had a breast lump on my areola for months. I think its due to the hormonal birth control I used to take which didn't suit me well. The breast lump was not hard. Seemed more like a cyst filled with fluid. It would be hard to feel and see and the only time I would see it would be when my nipple would be soft. Shortly after I got pregnant and when I went to the GP they dismissed it saying that I'm pregnant and it's probably just engorgement. I'm feeling nervous over the fact that it could potentially be breast cancer. Any advice on what I should do?

Book another GP appointment. Be clear on when you first noticed it. Check for any other signs and symptoms.
Also please don't self diagnose to the Dr and pass it off as contraception related. Tell them you're worried and you want referring to the breast clinic. Lots of times these turn out to be harmless but it's always better to be checked.
I've included a link for other signs of breast cancer.
