I'm waiting to be seen by urgent referral for skin cancer tests but my minds on overdrive. I've recently noticed one of my moles has changed to this. It itches sometimes and abit tender. Obviously you can see its different colours and the border is a shade lighter and it's very raised. Just curious if anyone's had the same and it's been absolutely fine in the end

I’ve had 3 weird looking moles removed over the years. Different shapes/pigmentation. I’m very moley!

When I saw the dermatologist each time…. He seemed to know instantly if it was benign or something sinister. He must have seen 1000’s of the things over the years. All mine were benign which he thought they were, but he advised they were removed for testing.

So my advice is… please try not to worry, the dermatologist will know and will then test the mole anyway.

Wishing you lots of strength whilst you wait Flowers.

I had a dodgy mole removed. The dermatologist looked at it through this strange little magnifier glass and instantly knew it wasn't cancerous but got me back to remove it anyway as it was one they thought would need to be kept out of the sun at all costs so we just took it off. It's really good you're going to get it looked at. I've also had two friends had abnormal ones removed, they just take enough of the skin around the mole to have clean lines, all normal skin around it. Good luck op
