Good leukaemia treatment centres in central London? Any to avoid?

Are you even allowed to have a preference or do you just have to take what they allocate? I’m getting the diagnosis confirmed this week (hopefully… the stress of waiting is really getting to me) but it’s from a different area of the country as I hadn’t got around to changing GPs yet so I’m a bit worried about delays or being allocated somewhere really overstretched in London. The place working on the diagnosis seems pretty average care-wise but they were at least very fast with getting me in for the biopsies etc.

I live near Farringdon which I think might be in St Bart’s Trust catchment but the trust as a whole has a needs improvement CQC rating…

Acute leukaemia care is both pretty specialised and also well documented, by which i mean you'll get largely the same type of treatment for the same condition anywhere. I wouldn't pick and chose, you'll be taken on by someone who can manage your diagnosis, it'll be discussed and reviewed in multi-disciplinary meetings, and treating can go on for a long time so you don't want to be travelling for no reasom
I wouldn't sweat the cqc rating
best of luck

I would have thought The Marsden would be the best, being a cancer hospital.

Or The Royal Free has a haematology ward mainly specialising in blood cancers.
