Does this type of Gums indicate cancer?

I've smoked for 4 years, and recently quit smoking around a month back, I noticed that my gums have turned brownish black, google suggests that this might be oral cancer, can someone help me on this.

Looks like a bit of gum disease to me. They don't look brown or black at all. Go and see a dentist if you are concerned but I wouldn't be overly concerned with those.
