Had this before. Had the stomach injections and all was good. Had them last week , chemo went ahead ok. This week blood count too low again so more injections hopefully will be fine in 3 days but oncologist has said she will reduce my dose. I'm really worried that this will not be effective now
I have had 9 sessions so far. 3 more to go weekly then 3 x 21 days apart. Then mastectomy

Oncologist said not to worry but i am

Anyone had similar and its worked? Im worried that reducing the chemo will reduce my chances of survival

I have had to have my dose reduced, and I've had to skip a week completely.

Neo-adjunctive chemo is a balancing act between how much you can hit the cancer, and how much your body can handle. No point going full scorched earth if your body can't heal well from it. You need to be in a fit state for surgery and recovery, not just barely surviving chemo. A lower dose, or slower regime might well be the optimal plan for you.

I liken it to a game of chess with blood counts.
It adds extra stress. I would talk to your consultant and if you have a support nurse team chat to them about your worries. I find it tricky to process the info and always have questions after.

Sorry you are going through this.

Thank you. I actually feel absolutely fine which is even more frustrating

I wouldn't know my body isn't coping
