I was sent for a CT Scan a couple of weeks ago and then telephoned to go for an MRI - I had the MRI on Saturday. Being telephoned for the MRI has made me uneasy and nobody has explained why this was necessary. If they find something, will the results go back to the original consultant or someone else? If I don’t hear quickly, can I presume there is nothing to worry about?

They will go back to the original consultant. No way of telling if the results are good or bad until you get them, timing can vary for so many reasons. I would phone the hospital and speak to your consultants secretary and ask why you were sent for an mri.
